The Rev. Bets Wienecke received her BA from the University of California, Santa Barbara, MA in Counseling from California State University, Northridge, and M.Div from the Claremont School of Theology.
Before entering the Unitarian Universalist ministry, she served as the executive director of a community-based non-profit agency. She retired as the parish minister of the Live Oak Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Goleta, California after eighteen years and was designated Minister Emerita. She has taught in the Adult Education program at Santa Barbara City College; serves as a consultant for Unitarian Universalist churches and gardens to sustain and renew her spirit.
