Social WorkerDeborah Dunn, MFTEmail: deborah@sbcfit.orgDeborah Dunn has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and has been a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Santa Barbara since 1983. For over 15 years she has specialized in the area of Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. Deborah began her work in the field of dementia as a social worker in Adult Day Care. She then went on to hold the position of Director of Patient and Family Services with the Central Coast Alzheimer’s Association. During her eight years with the Alzheimer’s Association, Deborah, along with her clinical work, lectured both locally and nationally on the subject of dementia. She is the clinical liaison for The Mary Oakley Foundation, a private family foundation established to help patients with Alzheimer’s disease, and for the past three years has held the position of Clinical Coordinator with the Center for Successful Aging. Deborah now joins CFIT as their Social Worker, responsible for counseling clients and families and overseeing their clinical program with other CFIT staff. |
