Tai Chi InstructorMyron DangEmail: myron@sbcfit.orgMyron Dang, OTR/L was introduced to the art of Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong in the mid 1990’s during his undergraduate studies. Soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University, he spent one year in SE Asia continuing to practice Tai Chi Chuan and dabbled in other martial arts such as Wing Chun. He returned to Portland, Oregon pursuing a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. Throughout his graduate studies, Myron practiced the art of Tai Chi Chuan as a way to relieve stress and maintain a clear mind. He relocated from Oregon to Santa Barbara, California where he currently works as an Occupational Therapist at Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital. Maintaining his interest, Myron continued to learn Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong at a private martial arts temple in Santa Barbara, California. Striving to be an innovative therapist, he incorporates Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong into his treatments for clients who are appropriate. He has seen benefits from the art for an older population and correlates it with the thousands of elderly people who practice Tai Chi Chuan and Qi Gong as a daily routine in Asia. |
